The view is on the south side of the valley with Camino Del Rio running along the base of the cliffs. This is more looking toward Grantville, judging by the large bend in the river and proximity to Pyles Peak and Cowles Mountain.

You can see a rare view of the San Diego river as it wound thru the valley [where the shopping malls are now] My Father, Brother, and I used to bass fish there in the 50s and early 60s, before the river was diverted underground thru concrete tunnels to make way for the shopping mall.
