Possibly many millions of years ago, it was probably deposited after a landslide or flood many years ago and had overtime been uncovered. I’ve found several agates as well!

There was some volcanic activity during the Oligocene epoch (approximately 24 mya) in the Acton area, the Vasquez Formation, which is the source of these volcanics.
