Will the ROW be expanded toward the west betwen Rio Rancho and Mission? Are there any routemaps available showing the engineering and and potemtial routing?

very disappoint to hear that, now the 3 miles section from Euclid to 91 takes about 20 minutes in the morning traffic to work.

In reply to David. Long term plans do call for the 71/91 Interchange to be reconstructed. When this will happen is still unknown but won't for at least a few years.

It seems the traffic is getting worthier each day along 71 to get into 91 in the morning, all the traffic is backing up to the entry, is there any plan to improve this traffic jam in the morning?

In reply to Daniel. Eventually, yes. According to the General Plan of both the City of Chino and City of Chino Hills, the roadway will be four-lanes divided with an adjacent bicycle path. It looks contingent on both right-of-way purchase and future development.

With the new addition of the extended toll road from th 15 may help out Corona/ Riverside commuters it makes my commute to Orange County 71 91 Freeway merge horrible!!! Traffic seems to be worse then ever adding a 15min. Longer wait to get on the 91 to Orange County. I see countless accidents of people cutting of others to merge onto the 91! I really hope there are plans in the works to widen or even build a wall to prevent collisions from happening in the near future…meaning yesterday! Traffic is only growing to grow with all the new housing developments popping up in the Inland Empire.

In reply to Michelle Manson. Reflectors will most likely be installed once the paving and other construction is complete. Generally, rain can delay such construction, but they may have an interim solution, usually using glued reflector flaps.

I recently drove on the 71 going in to corona and I’m wondering when are they going to install reflectors and reflective lines on the road right before it merges with hwy 91??? With the rain and no lights it was imposible to even see the left median or the actual lanes, for that matter. So beyond dangerous and has been like this since I’ve been coming down to the area.

In reply to hanmeng. I finally got a chance to take State 71 today and yes, the signals are off and the left turns are now fully blocked. The right off/on ramps are still in place, which doesn't negatively affect traffic. It does appear this is a temporary measure until the roadway is upgraded to a full freeway.
