This route was formerly State 79 until the mid 1960’s when it was rerouted west via Winchester Road. It is a rather fun road to drive though is rather remote. Be careful on this road as there are numerous decreasing radii off-camber curves which can be very deceiving. There are no services along the roadway and a limited number of intermediate connections.
